Production Enhancement Study for an Offshore Brown Field

iProdTech has conducted a review of shut-in wells in an offshore gas field and identified opportunities to re-activate them through decision and risk analysis approach. The study involved ranking of wells in terms of potential reserves, potential costs and potential risks. A methodical approach was utilised to reach to the final matrix of opportunity ranking. The key steps were:

  • Review of production history till date including intervention activities and previous attempts of re-activating the wells
  • Determination of additional potential through well performance modelling and identifying workover opportunities
  • Identification of behind pipe potential from available sub-surface information
  • Recommendation of intervention activities including data acquisition programme
  • Economic analysis of workover options and ranking
