Artificial Lift Evaluation for Subsea Field Development

iProdTech have been requested to conduct an artificial lift comparison study using integrated asset modelling for a subsea field development. iProdTech had earlier developed a dynamically coupled reservoir and production system model of the proposed subsea field development. The objective of the model was to assist in validating the overall field development plan by bringing together the subsea design / flow assurance work, hydraulic submersible pump (HSP) design and reservoir simulation work into a single model to investigate how the different parts of the proposed system interacted with one another over the life of field. Following the initial modelling work the operator have now requested iProdTech to build an additional model to evaluate field performance under gas lift and run some further sensitivities with both models (HSP and Gas Lift) to investigate the impact of alternative tubing / flowline sizes.
