Integrated Asset Modelling for a Large Onshore Oil Field

iProdTech have been requested for development and maintenance of an Integrated Asset Model (IAM) of an onshore oil field comprising of some 70 to 100 active or potentially active wells. The wells produce via a combination of natural flow, gas lift and auto-gas lift. The reservoir is a pervasively fractured carbonate with very high PI’s(1,000 to 8,000 stb/d/psi) and is relatively shallow (ca. 500 to 1,000 m below ground level). The field has eight degassing stations, three gas stripping stations, three gas compression stations and an oil pumping station.

The two key objectives of the integrated asset model will be:

  • Short term production optimisation of the existing well stock and facilities / gathering system
  • Assisting in the understanding of future reservoir potential and evaluating alternative field development plans
