Update of an Integrated Asset Model for a Proposed Field Development

In 2012 iProdTech Ltd developed a dynamically coupled reservoir and production system model of a proposed deepwater oil field. The objective of the model was to assist in validating the overall field development plan by bringing together the subsea design / flow assurance work, artificial lift design and reservoir simulation work into a single model to investigate how the different parts of the proposed system interacted with one another over the life of field.

iProdTech have now been requested to perform a number of updates to the well and network model and integrate it with the latest reservoir simulation model. The key updates required for the well and network model are:

  • New subsea pipeline lengths to reflect updated manifold locations
  • New well trajectories to reflect new manifold and subsurface targets
  • Updated artificial lift designs
  • Additional wells in the full field development
