A Petroleum Experts’ RESOLVE model coupling the Reservoir (Eclipse) and Wells / Network models (PROSPER/GAP) was built by iProdTech in 2011 for a deepwater oil field. The operator has requested for updates to this model to incorporate changes to the well, network and reservoir models. This model will be used for long-term production forecasting and field development planning. Some of the new wells have intelligent completions with inflow control valves and they are required to be linked to the network model such that the flow from the reservoir zones is controllable individually. The scope of work also includes review of the component models as overall accuracy and functionality of the RESOLVE model will be heavily influenced by how each component model behaves and matches current well and field performance.
